Our aim is to foster a space where users can express themselves freely without offending others. Everyone in the Remoter community is held to this standard.We ask you to be mindful, act thoughtfully, and follow our community guidelines both online and offline.
Remoter's Guidelines
Share responsibly. Refrain from posting personal details or contact information publicly (such as phone numbers, emails, or social handles). Publicly sharing your travel plans and schedules is not advisable. Don’t solicit personal information from others either.
Respect boundaries. Everyone has different comfort levels. Do not send inappropriate or offensive messages. Remoter is a platform for connecting remote workers, not a dating service.
Be authentic. People want to connect with the real you. Do not create fake profiles or impersonate others, even in jest.
Communicate with respect. Respect is essential. Harassment, threats, bullying, intimidation, doxing, blackmail, sexually explicit language, or any harmful behavior is strictly prohibited. Remoter stands against any form of hate, including racism, bigotry, and violence based on identity. This includes race, ethnicity, religion, disability, physical appearance, gender, gender identity, age, nationality, or sexual orientation.
Act with kindness, not harm. Any behavior that suggests, intends, or causes harm to another member—whether online or offline, physically or digitally—will be taken very seriously. This includes any incitement of harm.
17+ only. You must be at least 17 years old to use Remoter.
Follow the law. Illegal content or activities are not allowed under any circumstances.
One account per user. Each user can only have one account. For privacy and logistical reasons, shared accounts are not supported; everyone must have their own account.
Share your own content. Only post content that you have the right to share. Do not post images or private messages from others without their permission.Maintain integrity. Use Remoter honestly. Don’t spread false information, spam harmful links, or create multiple accounts. Avoid any misuse of the platform.
Stay active. If you don't log into your Remoter account for two years, it may be considered inactive and could be deleted. Regular logins help keep your account active.
Reporting
We encourage you to report any harmful behavior or violations of our Community Guidelines. Your reports are confidential. By reporting, you help us maintain a safe and welcoming community.
Consequences
We take our Community Guidelines seriously and strive to ensure compliance. We have a warning system, but severe or repeated violations will lead to appropriate actions. We reserve the right to investigate and/or terminate accounts without refund if we determine misuse or inappropriate behavior. This includes off-platform actions involving members met through Remoter.
