Discounts and Promotions
Remotr allows you to create discount codes that can be applied to your paid events. You can use these codes to offer early-bird rates, special promotions, or discounts for specific groups of attendees.
Step 1: Go to Payment Profile Settings
To add a discount code, follow these steps:
- Go to your Profile Settings
- Scroll down to the Payment Profile & stripe section
- On this page, in the bottom, you can click on Create in the Discount code section
Step 2: Create a Discount Code
Once you’re in your Payment Profile section, you’ll be able to set up a new discount code:
- In the Discount Code section, click Add New Discount Code
- Fill in the details for your discount code, such as:
- Code Name: This is the code your attendees will enter when registering for the event. Example: “EARLYBIRD” or “VIPDISCOUNT”.
- Discount Type: Choose whether the discount will be a percentage or a fixed amount.
- Discount Value: Set the amount or percentage of the discount. Example: $10 off or 20% off.
Once the discount code is set up, it will be ready to use! You can activate and deactivate discount codes by clicking true/false.
Step 3: Share the Discount Code with Your Attendees
Once your discount code is live, share it with your attendees through email, social media, or any other promotional channels. Attendees can enter the discount code during the payment process to receive their discount.
Important Notes
- Discounts only apply to paid events: Ensure your event is set as a paid event before applying a discount code.
- Limitations: You can create multiple discount codes, but each code can only be used once per attendee.
- Validity: The discount code will only be applied if the attendee enters the correct code at checkout.
- Discount Type: Choose whether the discount will be a percentage or a fixed amount depending on how you want to structure the promotion.
- Amount discount: Amount discount codes are always in your own currency.
